Manjimup has a cinema again! From the humble beginnings, five years ago, of a German Movie Club, we added an Italian Movie Night in 2016 and now Australian Iconic Movies (AIM). All three clubs will show 3 movies per month; for details see the attached program.
Entry is free to members of the Manjimup Family Centre but newcomers can come along 2-3 times without pay or obligation. Membership is $25 per term or $40 per semester and includes all members of your core family (including significant others). Do the maths - we're showing 12 movies a term, that's $2.08 per show per family. For a family of 4, that's 52 cents each.
Please note: The AIM show on Wednesdays, with its 3.00 to 5.00 pm time slot, is aimed at seniors. I we get sufficient demand (5 or more) , we’ll be happy to add a second, 6pm screening for working people.
We are also open to requests from the movie buffs in this town. If you'd like to run an occasional, or regular night(s) of, say, Film Noir, let's talk. As long as we can get the screening rights sorted and the subject matter is not illegal, immoral or fattening - we'll have a look at it. Call us on 9771 1653 with your ideas.

Development of Western Australia’s 10-year State Disability Plan is underway. The Department of Communities is currently running a series of consultation workshops throughout WA to gain community input. We invite you to attend one of these workshops and also to please help promote this opportunity through your networks, in newsletters and social media etc. These workshops are open to everyone including people with disability, family and carers, and those working in the disability/ community services sector or government.

Dear friends and supporters of the Manjimup Family Centre.
Our newly refurbished and extended building is now ready to be used but we’re desperately low on money for kitting it out with furniture and appliances. Due to unforeseen circumstances, building cost went up and used the money set aside for kit-out; it vanished into a sinkhole (literally!)
With additional counselling offices, a therapy suite for family therapy, a nice kitchen/snack area, a fabulous multifunction room with 4K projector and surround sound, a disabilities access toilet/baby change room and enhanced accessibility for wheelchairs and the frail aged, this is a major asset for Manjimup’s community.
Now, you can help and add the finishing touches. We have started a gofundme campaign to raise $10,000 we need to buy furniture and appliances to match the building’s utility and appeal. Even a small donation of $10 or $20 will help. Please follow the link below and donate generously.
