What is Days for Girls? |
About the Manjimup team: |
'Days for Girls International works to get washable feminine hygiene kits into the hands of those that would otherwise go without. We advocate and partner with NGO's and agencies to teach women and communities to create their own. We work to raise public awareness, educate regarding AIDS and preventable disease, and health and safety-- all programs that are saving lives, helping girls stay in school and balancing the scales for women. |
The 'Days for Girls' Manjimup team is made up of a dedicated group of Manjimup and Quinniup ladies. With Sue Gregg Coordinating the Manjimup ladies and acting as Treasure and working closely with Lynnette Nabholz who coordinates the Quinninup ladies.
The kits this group of dedicated women volunteer their time to sew and create are on their way to Papa New Guinea, an area much in need of these valuable products that are often taken for granted in our modern-day society. The group hope to have Papa New Guinea self-sustainable within two years, a hard and worth-while task that our wonderful Manjimup team are more than capable to take on board. Manjimup CRC proudly auspices the Day's for Girls Manjimup team, with our very own Deb Vanderspil acting as representative and chair-person for the group. |
