Seniors Weekly Update

1/8/2016

Hello Ladies,

Firstly a thank you to those that have renewed your membership for this coming year 2016 – 2017 and A big thankyou for your patience whilst we have been sorting it all out.
For those that have filled out your membership form, I now have your membership card ready for you to collect.

Some of you missed out on the visit from Simon Shorthouse this week.
Simon soent some time explaining what he does and confirmed that members of Seniors Computing Club will receive a 10% discount for any computer repairs or advice.
His business cards are located in the training room, a lovely man who comes well recommended from members of your computer club.

We have a few things coming up which I think would be good for me to start letting you know the planned dates.
You are invited to all of the following and if you are an up to date member of our centre the workshops are free for you!

18th AUGUST:              Cyber Security Workshop
This is perfect to help you understand the importance of Internet security and what are the best way to make sure you are safe. Brian is a facilitator from Perth who works for COTA (Council for the Aging) and his course is specifically designed for you.

1st SEPTEMBER                       Taking Control of your Hereafter
A workshop about how to do your will legally and cost efficiently
Jennifer Willcox will speak to you regarding how to prepare your will and all the things you need to ensure is in order for your will to be effective and legal. Most of you have met Jennifer before, she is the lady from Seniors Computing in Walpole.

We also have come across a little hiccup with our trip to Walpole. Sadly the bus has had to be booked out for the whole week so we are unable to use it on the 22nd September. I am currently talking to the Shire and Walpole to see what the dates are available for our trip, Ill keep you updated.

Next week we will be looking at filing our photos, so bring in your USB and we can get started on sorting all your albums out, It has also been requested that we do a quick revision session of what we have learnt so far

Hopefully I will see you all next week

Regards, Deb Vanderspil
