Currently retired and involved in the community through District Health Advisory Committee (Chairperson), Manjimup Country Club (Sec Treasurer).
Ray served as a Shire Councillor for 16 years until October 2013. Born in Pemberton apart from a six years in the RAAF has spent the majority of his working life in the area.
Always involved in committees in some form or another for the past 45 years, his work experience as a Manager, commissioner with the Forest Products Commission the various roles have given excellent knowledge of management, governance and strategic thinking.
Once he was no longer involved with Council he looked for a challenge where he could continue to use those skills and continue to have influence on community culture, the CRC provided this opportunity and at the same time Ray still wanted to improve his knowledge in as many areas as he could.
Rays professional development has included, Safety for Supervisors, Enterprise bargaining, Australian Institute of management senior executive program, Australian institute of company directors, implementing great governance. He remains proud of his achievements and wants to see the CRC become a valuable community resource
