A beautiful article in the Manjimup-Bridgetown times about the dedicated team of South West volunteers making a difference in the lives of women in developing countries through sewing sustainable feminine hygiene kits. The Manjimup CRC is delighted to be able to facilitate these hard working ladies!

A meeting was held between both groups of ladies from Quinninup and Manjimup recently and new systems and ideas were put into place for the group’s harmony. Our ladies confidently established their first committee, set a meeting plan for the coming year and swapped ideas on resourcing, fundraising and sewing gatherings. Brenda Dawes was a wonderful guide for the ladies and helped clarify and offered support for purchasing fabrics and materials. MCRC are now the proud organisation to officially auspice Manjimup Days for Girls and we are all looking forward to an exciting year of kit production! A very warm welcome is also due for our three new team members: Mary Cook who has taken on the role of secretary, Sue Greg who is our new treasurer and Lynette who is the Quinninup ladies co-coordinator. We look forward to working with you lovely ladies! We are all winding down for a well-deserved break but look forward to resuming in February 2017.
Thank you for all you do. From Manjimup, we wish you all a blessed happy Christmas. Regards Brenda Bridgetown Chapter, Western Australia |
