There are 2 workshops on Thursday the 26th July Workshop 1: 26th July: 9:30am-12:30pm Check Yo Self: Attitudes & Values Workshop is designed to encourage participants to assess how their values and attitudes influence their interactions with others, in particular, with young people. Check Yo Self focuses on youth sexual health – working to build understanding, normalization and an assessment of existing judgments. Workshop 2: 26th July, 1pm-4:30pm Trans & Gender Diverse Sexual Health 101: This is the first workshop in a two-part series aimed at upskilling youth workers and people who work directly with young people on Trans & Gender Diverse Sexual Health issues. It is an interactive workshop that provides a strong foundation on a range of different issues including: • Gender • Sexuality • Correct pronouns • Appropriate language • Health outcomes for trans and gender diverse young people, and • How to manage biases Most importantly, this workshop provides a safe space to have a genuine discussion and ask questions on this pertinent topic. For YOUTH Wednesday 25th July @headspace Bunbury The YEP Project will be facilitating its first ever youth workshop in Bunbury, and we are super excited! YEP Crew Peer Educators will be at the new Bunbury headspace centre to run a fun and interactive workshop on the following sexual health and blood borne virus (SHBBV) topics: • Respectful Relationships & Consent • Gender & Sexuality • The Technosexual World This is a great opportunity for school champions to learn and share information with their schools. Two million Australians are at high risk of type 2 diabetes. To coincide with National Diabetes Week, Diabetes Australia is launching a new prevention campaign urging all Australians to see if they are at risk of type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed in up to 58 per cent of cases through early detection and lifestyle modification. The campaign will also feature the personal stories of people who have prevented and who are living with type 2 diabetes. Diabetes Australia represents all people affected by all types of diabetes. The aim of the 2014 National Diabetes Week campaign is to raise awareness of the seriousness and prevalence of type 2 diabetes and encourage all Australians to check their risk. National Diabetes Week runs from 13–19 July 2014. The National Diabetes Week campaign will be launched on Wednesday 16 July in Melbourne. How can you support this national campaign:

Please note that certain qualifications and short courses are competitive, so places may be limited. Students must be enrolled with their enrolment fees paid to secure their place in these courses. If our scheduled short courses are full, the Manjimup Campus can run extra courses at your request (minimum numbers required). Onsite delivery for short courses at your workplace is also an option and we can deliver at a date that suits you (Minimum numbers required). We offer a choice of ways to pay for your course fees including concessional rates and no interest payment plans. Please discuss your options with us.
